James Cameron's Avatar will have a cinema release in the UK on 18th December 2009. It's probably the biggest budget 3D film so far. It's part CGI and part live action.

Please use this thread for everything related to Avatar.

James Cameron did had an interview with Variety last year where he talked about how he was making Avatar and 3D film-making.

There's also an on-line petition relating to the Avatar sequel at http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/avatar--2.html which talks about the points raised in the interview above, and Cameron's discussions on frame rates.

He also talked about it at Comic-Con (see youtube.com for the comic-con presentation).
